Coco Arte is a humble structure on the side of the road to Portobelo that showcases the lifelong collection of salvaged goodies and driftwood art as assembled by Colombian Luis “Lucho” Lopez.  He offers hand-made art, jewelry and home decorations crafted from coconut and driftwood as well as his famous bags of Coco Cryspi, shaved coconut meat that is slow-roasted to delicious perfection.

Stop by to enjoy his artwork and grab a bag of Coco Cryspi for the road!

This place is amazing. Quite an inspiration for driftwood artists like myself. Lucho, you should reach me sometime, www.facebook.com/saveourwaters. Message me your contact info and I will be in touch promptly. I have a few ideas that could help us both in our artistic endeavors.

Love the driftwood sculpture so much I took it home and it is stunning and so versatile to watch. Thank you Luis for your great work...

Very cool items on display, a selection of found items carved, cut, prepared, varnished, and presented beautifully. Very tranquil little place and the owner is on hand occasionally to talk about his work. Also sells delicious crisped shaved coconut for $2.50 a bag - excellent.

The place has very nice pieces of art work, very interesting things. Love it. I would have never found this place without Caribbean Panama Network because I live in the city, I had all the information beforehand so I didn´t waste any time on my trip there. Thanks
