Bambu Guesthouse boutique hotel

Nestled in the quiet fishing town of Puerto Lindo on the Costa Arriba (Upper Coast) of Colon, Bambu Guesthouse offers a quaint boutique hotel in front of the bay of Puerto Lindo where many nautical travelers on sail boats and powerboats weigh anchor to resupply and stretch out their land-legs. The friendly and welcoming couple from The Netherlands who own and operate this small establishment will welcome you with typical Dutch warmth and hospitality and the breakfast that is prepared in the morning is perfect to get your day started.

Bambu Guesthouse provides three rooms with comfortable beds, and quaint décor. Room #1 is a triple occupancy room featuring a king-sized and single bed with air conditioning, bathroom and spacious living area. Room #2 is a double-occupancy room with two beds, bathroom, small kitchen, and no air conditioning. Room #3 is a triple occupancy room with a queen-sized and single bed, air conditioning and bathroom. For families and larger groups, Room #2 and Room #3 can be connected and shared.

The open-air common area upstairs features the kitchen as well as comfortable seating space with a beautiful view of the bay. A fresh sea breeze blows in from the bay on most days and early risers are treated to a variety of tropical birds and sometimes even howler monkeys and sloths in the trees around the property.

Bambu Guesthous Breakfast and Adventure

A tasty breakfast greats overnight visitors including coffee, tea, juice, fruit salad, different kinds of bread, sweets, marmalade, cheese and eggs. The breakfast spread is priced at $5 per person.

For just a few dollars, you can have a panga (typical fishing boat) take you for the short trip over to the small uninhabited island of Isla Mamei for a day of lounging on the beach and exploring the island and waters surrounding it. Just be sure to confirm a specific pick-up time with your panga captain and they will come back for you to bring you back to the mainland.
A variety of other local tours and activities are available upon request including snorkeling, bird watching and more.
